Rigormortiz, is a British MC, rapper, singer, songwriter and music producer. He is also known as the Kameleon due to the versatility of his lyrical delivery. He is an independent artist whose music is not only limited to Hiphop and R&B but is also known to fuse different elements from various genres of music including house, Techno, Afrobeats and more.. After picking up from Episode 1, The Agency Operative emerges with a new album Episode 2 – Agent on a Mission. Throughout his career, the agency operative has gone through a series of transformation to reach this point as a hip hop artist. From writing in a journal to writing rhymes. The Agency Operative went from playing trumpet to being a vocalist.
There was a setback in which AO had to take a hiatus. Not seeing financial success on the first album, the Agency Operative was forced to hold back on setting out more projects. The first project could’ve been the last. The reasons for making another project is AO does not give up so easily. Even though Episode 1 did not reach financial success, the album did give AO a better look on how the music industry works.
Another reason for putting out another project is that the former graduate of TCNJ in 2009 has not seen much change in the economy. The job market is still limited with job opportunities. Not much has changed from the first album in 2011 to the current album in 2015. After graduation AO has only been working for jobs that are temporary and has not been offered a permanent position. AO has decided to take his life in a new direction.
From the beginning AO was going by stage name King Kong. The reason for the name change was due to getting legal rights to the name. King Kong came up with the name “The Agency Operative.” Agency is an acronym (Agent Geared for Emissary to Navigate through Critical Conditions without Yielding). Operative means secret agent. The Agency Operative is the secret agent of The Agency Headquarters. The Agency Headquarters is the name of the label. Just recently, The Agency Operative went into another name change. AO decided to go with the name: A.O. C.entral C.ommand. The reason for another name change was that fans have the option to shorten the name A.O. C.C. or can say the entire name. Another reason for the name change is the name would clarify that I am my own boss. The label was created in 2010 with the first single “So Hot.”
A.O. CC returned on a mission with a new album The name of the album is Episode 2 – Agent on a Mission. The album was released on I-tunes and Google Play on December 11, 2015. As an agent on a mission, the journey will continue to fulfill the mission statement. Regardless of the situation or circumstances, there is a clear decision to continue with the music career by any means.
The current status of A.O. is to continue with the mission. Already putting in 8 years in the game and still going, A.O. strikes back with the third installment to his discography with Episode 3: A Force to be Reckoned With. This project was released on 12/31/2017. Up to date, Episode 3 is the best project that is out. Best quality of mastering that is matched with great melodies makes this album one of the best.
Next step is to drop Episode 4 by the end of the year of 2019. This album will be one of the most intense albums yet. This album will show great songwriting skills that will match the current climate today. This album exploits the hard truths that a lot of artist will not speak about.
In conclusion, the future looks bright for not only A.O. C.C., but with music business in general. The new age of music business opens the doors in which artist can now control their material and not be blackballed by speaking their minds. Artist can not only control their music business, but also open to opportunities without having a mega deal. Originally born in Dallas, Don was adopted by the Smith family of Dallas, Texas at the age of one . He was brought up in a solid family structure and brought up in the church as well young Don participated in the choir where he got his first taste of music. Growing up Don struggled with balancing academics with the ways of the streets with fast money and hanging with the wrong crowd eventually the streets won. At 17 Don was kicked out of high school for truancy and hustling he later obtained his G.E.D. and enlisted into the army.
Soldier with Rhythm
Stationed in Alabama music was still always in the back of Don’s mind who eventually started teaching himself different musical equipments. Taking some key notes from his idol Dr. Dre he soon turned his room into a homemade studio collaborating with fellow colleagues to produce music and write songs. Word soon began to spread of the soldier with a heart of music and he was invited by the USO to perform for soldiers and various Army Stations. Doing open mics in the tri state areas and producing Don was content being in the background and helping build other people dreams as well as working on his own. Don executive produced his first album for fellow soldiers and future Florida artist Fury . Don finished his run with the Army being honorably discharged in 2005, he returned to Dallas determined to make a name for himself. Being in the background was no longer an option for Don who wanted to step on front of the make and make a name for himself and share his story. Still continuing to produce for artist such as Lamon ” Koop” Jones and various Dallas artist he began molding his own path. Showcasing his talents on different platforms such as the Car Show Benefit and K104’s Annual Juneteenth Celebration and Kwanzaa Fest.
Future of Global Don
In 2011 Don debuted his talents with his first mixtape “Military Minded” and in 2016 his second studio mixtape “Street Politics”. Following his travels to Overseas to branch out with other artists and marketing . Its always great to see an artist giving back Don never forgot the city that made him speaking to youth at the Urban Specialists Group and Dallas Can Academy. 2021 is definitely the year of the Don and the future holds great things for this up and coming Dallas Gem.
Jeff Paladino is a native of Chesapeake, Virginia and currently resides in Vermont. He began singing at the age of four in Church. Jeff had his first real band at 20, and opened for major talent, George Jones, Lorrie Morgan, Joe Diffie and Wade Hayes to name a few. During Jeff’s time with The Smokin45’s, he had the opportunity to perform at many Mid-Atlantic festivals. Jeff left to go fly for a Major Airline. In 2016, due to multiple medical issues, Jeff had to retire from his days in Aviation. .
